Obviously you're thinking "Why would anyone dig into why and how sunglasses were invented?".
I would really want to give you the thought process but you're not a Cognitive Psychologist are you? ๐๐
The interesting part in the timeline of their invention is somewhere about the 12th Century where the "first sunglasses"* which were essentially flat panes of the mineral smoky quartz, which is a type of quartz that ranges from almost opaque to almost translucent.
The shocking part is they were used by judges in the ancient Chinese court system to conceal their eye expressions. The reason for that was because a judge's evaluation of evidence as credible was to remain secret until the trial's conclusion.
